Most of us live every day according to a moral law we follow.
Our own conscience, religion, the law of the universe
The moral law we adhere to holds us back from conduct we consider amoral. We act in consideration of others, trying to do good and scorn all those who act amoral.
but what happens when we have a glimpse into the world of being amoral?
we might stray into their territory if not for a leash holding us back.
the thrill of finding out you've done the wrong thing
the rush of being told off
the thrill of apathy in the face of breaking that moral law once held so dear
and of course the heart pounding, high of impunity in the face of it all.
once crossed over to the dark side can there be a comeback?
once you've felt that rush and thrill of acting in opposition of all moral dictates and survived the question of why not remains....
we teach standards for a reason ...
once you've fallen beneath that standard do you really want to return to that standard?
